BURIED SUNDAY AT
MOUNTAIN CREEK

Walton County lost a useful and highly respected citizen Saturday, January 12, in the passing of Walter David Conner.

Mr. Conner, 72, died at the Walton County Hospital following a short illness.

Largely attended funeral services occurred Sunday afternoon from Mountain Creek Baptist church, of which he was long a faithful and devoted member. The service was conducted by Rev. J. L. Drake. Interment in charge of the E. L. Almand Company, took place in the church cemetery.

He was a native Walton County citizen, born the son of the late Richard and Anna Clifton Conner on December 22, 1880.

In addition to his devoted wife, Mrs. Susie O'Kelly Conner, Mr. Conner is survived by seven children, as follows: Mell Conner and Prince Conner of Monroe, 11M/2 Sidney Conner, stationed in Maryland with the U. S. Navy; Sgt. Billy Conner, stationed in California with the USMC; Cpl. Hugh Conner, stationed at Savannah with the Air Force; Mrs. Jesse L. Griffin of Parris Island, S. C.

One brother survives, J. T. Conner of Social Circle RFD.

The Walton Tribune joins hosts of friends of the family in extending assurances of tender sympathy.
