A native of Walton Co., Mr. Conner was the son of the late Walter David and Susie Pearl O'Kelley Conner. He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Mell, Prince, Carl, Hugh and Billy Conner and sister, Hilda Griffin. During WWII, Mr. Conner served on the USS Yorktown as a pharmacist mate 2nd class and pharmacist technician during the Yokohama and Hiroshima campaigns. He worked for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service and retired from the National Dairy Council. He was distinguished as the first Male volunteer with St. Mary's Auxiliary and also volunteered with St. Mary's Hospice House. Mr. Conner was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
