The above named died at her late home, 629 South Randolph street, at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon of heart trouble complicated with kidney ailments. Funeral services will be held at the house tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock; interment in Oakwood cemetery.
Isabella Scott was born in Adams Co. Pennsylvania, Aug 23, 1820, and had therefore reached the age of 78 years, 10 months and 23 days. She moved to this state with her parents about 1836, settling in Bethel township, this county. She was married to Mr. Clugsten. Feb. 10, 1842. They lived on different farms in McDonough county until seven years ago, when they moved to this city and have since resided here. Her husband died about four years ago. They were parents of 11 children, ten of whom survive, John W. Dying a number of years ago when but an infant. The survivors are: Wm. R. Of Selkirk, Kan.: Mrs. Rachel A. Norton, Cherokee, Kan.: Mrs. Mary J. Brent, Keithly, Kan.: Mrs. Sarah S. Black, Doddsville, Ill.; Mrs. Effie M. Hurst, Good Hope, Il.;
Mrs. Alice Osborn, Selkirk, Kan.; Silas S., Cherokee, Kan.; David R., Doddsville, Ill.: J. Ed and Miss Lizzie of this city, Of those outsde the county who will be present at the funeral are Mrs. Brent and Mrs. Osborn who have been at their mother’s bedside for several weeks.
Deceased was for years an active member of the Presbyterian church, a neighbor who was always ready to lend assistance, and a woman who was beloved by her acquaintances.
