Services for Irvin Stegall, 83, of Crosbyton were at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Les Griffin officiating and the Rev. Bobby Rine assisting.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

He died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born Dec. 5, 1918, in Stephenville, TX.

He married Beatrice Stephens on May 17, 1940, in Crosbyton.

He was a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church and the Crosbyton Lions Club. He was formerly a service station operator and a mechanic. He owned the Pontiac dealership in Crosbyton from the late 1950s to the 1960s. He moved to Crosbyton in 1926 from Erath County.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Norris Stegall and two sisters, Ozetta Irene Stegall and LaVerne Gregory.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice of Crosbyton; two sons, Darrell Stegall of Lubbock and Ronald Stegall of Midland; one daughter, Donna Sue Vincent of Jacksonville, Ark.; one brother, Kenneth Stegall of Crosbyton; one sister, Olene Jackson of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
