Dora Swain Lyon Freeman died February 11, 1995 at her home in St. George, Utah after a long bout with cancer.

She was born in Wallsburg, Utah on January 29, 1919 to Walter and Jennie Swain. She married Lynn Wright Lyon on November 27, 1938. They had three sons and one daughter, Lynn Walter Lyon, Terry Craig Lyon, Jeffery Lyon, and Cheryl Lyon. Her husband, Lynn, died February 17, 1958.

She married James Gaisfood, November 17, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada. After nine years of happy married life, James died of cancer June 26, 1979.

On April 11, 1981 she married William T. Freeman in Murray, Utah. They moved to St. George in 1982 after Bill retired. They traveled, played golf and tennis, and really enjoyed life.

Mrs. Freeman was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife. She was an excellent school teacher and taught in California and Utah. Dora liked being with people and loved to cook. She enjoyed life to the maximum.

Dora was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Wright Lyon; son, Jeffery Lyon; daughter, Cheryl Lyon; husband, James Gaisfood; two sisters, Mildred Miler and Lois Greg; one stepdaughter, Anne Penrod; and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, William T. Freeman; two sons, Lynn Lyon and Terry Lyon; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two stepchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Walter Swain and Devoe Clark.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So. State, where friends may call 9-11 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
