Walter R. Swain passed away on August 6, 2001 of causes incident to age.

He was born November 17, 1920 to Susanna Jane Shelton and Walter Edward Swain. He married Florence Keil on June 13, 1941. Walter owned a John Deere Dealership for over 50 years; he greatly enjoyed working with the farmers. He also loved fishing in Alaska, getting his haircut at Marty's and eating lunch every Wednesday at his grandson's restaurant, David Chase. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and always looked forward to the annual trips with his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years; his children Sharon (James) West, JoAnne (the late Lynn) Bennion, Suzanne (David) Hess, Bob (Judy) Swain and Jeff (Kim) Swain; 21 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 10th at 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Rd., Taylorsville, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
