Ralph Thompson, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died peacefully at his home in Midvale on November 1, 1995 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Ralph was born May 13, 1922 in Clarkston, Utah the son of George Thompson and Esther Godfrey. He married Grace Newton July 15, 1946 in Pocatello, Idaho, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was raised in Midvale, Utah. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1940, then was recruited and worked for the FBI during which he attended the Oklahoma A & M University until he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force and served as a pilot instructor until the war ended. After his service he returned to Utah to be with ailing parents and operated a Real Estate Office until he was employed by the Federal Housing Administration where he worked until he retired.

Ralph was very devoted to his family and supported them in every way possible.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; four children, Kendall Thompson (Julia), Alaska; Nancy Westenskow (Robert), Murray; Kristy Hughes (Keith); Roger Thompson (Jennifer), both West Jordan; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Donna Workman (Clair); sisters-in-law, Beth Thompson and Ivagene Thompson. Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Grace N; brothers, Jay G. and Warren; sister, Ruby Wright (Harold).

Funeral services Saturday, November 4, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery. Ralph will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
