Funeral services for Harry Albert Berthold, 50, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Galloway and Sons Chapel, with the Rev. David Cordell officiating.
Burial followed in Glenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Berthold died Thursday morning in Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
He was born May 2, 1932, in Skidmore to Caroline (Davis) and Otto John Berthold.
A resident of Bee County during his childhood and for the past two months, he had resided at San Juan for 12 years before returning to this area.
Mr. Berthold was a retired technical sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1950 to 1970.
He married the former Dorothy Jemison on June 20, 1952, in Paris, France.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Berthold of Beeville; three sons, John, stationed in Germany with the U.S. Air Force, Louis of Chicago, Ill., and James of Beeville; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Collum of San Antonio and Mrs. Alma Coley of Bruni; one brother, Arthur Berthold of Freer; one stepbrother, Edward Davis of Temple; and two grandsons.
