Bicknell, Utah - Our precious, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Lucile McClellan Edwards, age 83, passed into the arms of her eternal companion on Friday, April 9, 2010 at her home in Bicknell, surrounded by her family.

Lucile was born August 2, 1926 in Richfield, Utah, to loving parents, William Jeppie and Elsie Estella Nielson McClellan. She grew up in Glenwood and graduated from Richfield High School, Class of 1943. She married Don Russell Edwards, for time and all eternity, February 3, 1947 in the Manti LDS Temple. They celebrated sixty years of matrimonial bliss just prior to his death on March 21, 2007.

Lucile and Don made their home in Wayne County, where they raised their seven children. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary, Relief Society, Young Women's Program and as Stake Dance Directors. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Lucile enjoyed gardening, her flower garden and working outside. She also enjoyed handiwork, making quilts and afghans.

As the wife of a rancher and farmer, she knew the value of good honest work and supported her husband, her children and her family in all of their endeavors.

She is survived and will be missed by her children: Linda and Lee Myers of Billings, Montana; Cindy and Gary Ellett of Bicknell; Jeraldine and Wayne Grundy of Annabella; Stella Edwards, Russell and Peri Edwards, all of St. George; RoyDon and Julie Edwards of Roy; Bob and Debbie Edwards of Loa; 32 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister and brother, Grace and Zurrell Potter of Loa; Nial and Sally McClellan of St. George; sisters-in-law: Verla Nielson and Margaret Oldroyd, both of Lyman; Arla McClellan of Richfield and brothers-in-law: Joe Asay of Monroe and Jay Allred of Kanarraville.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Grundy Jr.; three great-grandchildren: Brody Marion Brown, Devon Don Brown, and Cambri Dawn Brown; brother and sisters: John and Gayle McClellan, Fern Roberts, Elsie Larson, Ila Asay; a step-brother, Vernon Oldroyd and a step-sister: Wilma Allred.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the Thurber LDS Ward Chapel in Bicknell, where friends may call for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Saturday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Loa Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
