Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Elsie McClellan Larsen, age 80, died November 8, 1995 in Salt Lake City.
She was born October 1, 1915 in Glenwood, a daughter of William Jeppe and Elsie Estella Nielson McClellan. She married Bertrum C. Larsen, December 6, 1933 in Glenwood, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple June 4, 1964. He died February 26, 1977. Elsie was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as president in most auxiliaries. She worked as an ordinance worker in the Manti LDS Temple. She enjoyed genealogy and worked in the extraction program for several years. For several years, Elsie worked in the school lunch program for Sevier School District. She enjoyed gardening and shared her produce with everyone. Elsie loved to quilt and crochet and had given many of her handiworks to many people. She will be missed.Survived by her children: Arel C. and LuAnn Larsen, all of Midvale; Ronald and Chrys Larsen, Cedar City; Marcia and Ronald Nielsen, Richfield; Pat and Tim Curtis, Dean and Marie Larsen, all of West Valley City; Fred and Loni Larsen, Murray; 28 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters, brothers: Ila Asay, Monroe; Grace Potter, Loa; Lucille Edwards, Lyman; John McClellan, Richfield; Nial McClellan, St. George. Elsie was preceded in death by two infant sons, Blaine and Steve Larsen, a sister, Fern M. Roberts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, 1995 at 1 p.m. in the Glenwood LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Friday eve. from 6-8 p.m. and at the ward chapel in Glenwood, Saturday morn. from 11-12:30 prior to services. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.
