John Coker Jr, husband of Lillian Coker, and son of John Coker Sr and Phebe Coker, was born March 23, 1915.
He departed this life on April 29th, 1996, in Kent General Hospital at the age of 81 years.
John was married to Lillian Durham on September 16, 1933. To this union God blessed them with eleven children.
John spent most of his life in the Cheswold area, where he was employed by Harry Morgan, Thomas Roy Morgan, George & Lynch, and Delaware Air Park.
After he reached retirement age, he enjoyed working in the garden and just relaxing and enjoying his retirement.
He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife Lillian; six sons, Eddie, Jackie, Leroy, Donald, Steve and Rickie; four daughters, Eleanor McKinney, Barbara Valez, JoAnn Moore, and Monica Coker; two half sisters, Edna Loatman and Marion Hughes; a brother, Frank Coker; two half brothers, Edward Reed and Robert Reed; 24 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, and dear friends by whom he shall be missed.
John and Lillian celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary on Sept 16, 1995 after a loving and caring relationship as husband and wife. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.
He will be missed by all that knew him.
