Merle W. Dovell
Merle Wood Weaver Dovell, 104, of Sarasota, Fla., and formerly of Luray and Front Royal, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at The Pines of Sarasota Nursing Home.
Mrs. Dovell was born July 27, 1901, in Page County, and was the daughter of the late David B. and Mattie Martin Wood.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Weaver, who died in 1949, and her second husband, Harold Dovell, who died in 1988.
She is survived by a brother, Ray M. Wood of Front Royal; a grandson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Burial was Monday, March 20, at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Md.
