1928 - 2010
Keith, of Provo, was born in Oak City, Utah to Earl and Silvia Harris, the third of seven children. He was a wonderful husband, brother, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed..
He graduated from Delta High School and became a bomber pilot in WWII. He met his wife Idamae Rote, while attending Denver watchmaking school. They were married May 28, 1949 and had 6 children. Idamae passed away Nov. 10, 1974.
He met and married Ileen Paice Olson. They have been married 35 years and have served two LDS missions together. He served as a Provo Temple worker.
He was a welder at Geneva Steel for 33 years, designed and repaired jewelry, and later opened Diamond Source and Mfg. His advice to couples was, "You can be just as engaged with a small stone as with a larger one."
He is survived by his wife Ileen, his children, Kenneth Harris, David Harris, Rochelle Nilson- Huntley, Brent Harris, and Cheryl Stevenson and Ileen's children Arthur Lee Olson, Kristie Weber, Scott Olson, Gary Olson, Ed Olson, Nancy Higgins, and Julie Honey, 43 grand-children, and 41 great-grandchildren, his brother Grant, and sister, Diane Porter. He was preceded in death by his daughter Hazel, a brother Don, and 3 sisters, Shirley, Marion, and Gene.
The funeral will be held April 3rd at the Provo, UT East Stake Center, 662 East 700 North in Provo, at 12:30 pm. A viewing will precede the funeral from 10:30 am-12:15 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LDS Humanitarian Fund.
