OBITUARY: Died at the home of her daugbter, Mrs. Joe Hildesheim Wednesday.morning at two o'clock Mrs. Bernard Minten. She had been a patient sufferer for many months and death came as a relief. Mrs. Minten was born in Nederdress Germany and was sixtynine years of age on July fourth. Her maiden name was Miss Elizabeth Holzem and on May twenty seventh 1857 she was united in marriage to Bernard Minten. The family have lived in Alton, and vicinity for a number of years having come to Sioux county in 1887. The funeral services were held from St. Mary's church Fridays morning at nine o'clock of which deceased was a devout member. The services were largely attended and the remains were laid to rest by the side of those of her husband who passed away four years ago last March. The children who survive her are Mrs. Joe Hildesheim, John, Matt, Jake and William Minten of Alton and Frank Minten of Richfield, Wisconsin, Chris Minten of Milwaukee and Bernard Minten of Stayton, Oregon. The sympathy of the entire community go out to the bereaved children in their hour of sorrow."
