Married Jane E Teas
Daniel Nations was a Confederate soldier, was taken prisoner at Arkansas Post and died, unmarried.
Several of his brothers served in the Civil War in Arkansas. One civil war record puts a brother at Arkansas Post in Jan. 1863.
Although Daniel served from Texas, it seems more than plausible that he would have gone to Arkansas to fight if given the opportunity, especially since the new source also states he was unmarried (widowed because we know he married Jane Teas in 1859 in DeWitt Co., Texas) at the time of his death.
