The parents of Samuel Chappell are unknown. Samuel married Dorothy Laraby/Larabee probably in New London, CT. It is known that their first three children were born in New London. They moved to Sandisfield, Berkshire, MA between June 1781 and March 1784. They had eight more children in Sandisfield. Besides the children listed below, they had a daughter Electa born 10 Jul 1795 who married Elias Orton.
