Rites Held Here for Theo. Yoraway on Sunday

Funeral services were conducted by Pastor J. A. Riveness at Gospel Tabernacle here in Karlstad at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 20th for Theodore Yoraway who passed away at the Karlstad Memorial Hospital on October 16th at the age of 82 years, 9 months, and 22 days.

Mr. Yoraway was born in Austria on December 24, 1880. He received his education and grew to manhood there. In 1900, at the age of 20, he emigrated to Winnipeg, Canada which was his home for the next five years while he worked on the railroad, in the woods and helped to build elevators. In 1905, he moved to Glasston, No. Dakota where he worked on the McCabe farms for a number of years and then operated a farm himself.

In 1919, he married Martha Lundstrom who passed away on September 1, 1926. In the fall of 1951, Mr. Yoraway retired from farming and moved to Strandquist, Minn., where he made his home with the Clarence Lundstroms. He lived with them until two and a half years ago when he entered the Middle River Rest Home.

Mr. Yoraway was an active member of the Gospel Tabernacle and his main concern in his later years was his church.

He is survived by two sons, Lloyd and Edward, both of Minneapolis, and six grandchildren and many friends.

Serving as pall bearers at the funeral were William Wikstrom, Oscar Carlson, Otto Carlson, Alfred Carlson, Martin Myszkowski and Ingvald Rokke. Music was rendered by Mr. and Mrs. Ingolf Ingebrigtsen and Mrs. J. A. Riveness. Interment was in the Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery at Strandquist.
