ESCONDIDO, Lloyd Yoraway, 81, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at his home. Born August 20, 1920 in Marshall County, Strandquist, Minnesota, he lived in Escondido for 23 years. He retired in 1978 as a parts manager from Gambels Skogmo Hardware. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a 23-year member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Elks, Moose and House of Prayer Lutheran Church. Mr. Yoraway is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hildur Yoraway of Escondido; a son and daughter-in-law D. and K. Yoraway of Simi Valley; daughter and son-in-law Dodie and Gerald Holtzen of Anaheim Hills; and grandchildren B. and T. Holtzen and B. and K. Yoraway.
Inurnment will be at Eternal Hills Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3625, San Diego, CA 92163-1625. Alhiser-Comer Mortuary is handling arrangements.
