Carrie was the youngest daughter of Samuel S. and Mary Elizabeth Fairchild Baldwin. She was born in Sadorus, IL, July 19, 1860. She grew to young womanhood in Illinois, and came to Crawford County where she was married to James R. Little in March 1884. They have made their home in Crawford County for 51 years, and were loved and respected by all who knew them. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church and was a charter member of the Sunflower club of Girard. She leaves her faithful companion, her daughter, Mrs. Edna Wayland and her son-in-law, Walter Wayland, with whom she and Mr. Little have lived for a number of years.
