ROBERT ERVIN TORIAN was born 23 October 1868 in Kentucky; and his death certificate shows he was married to Millie, died 12 April 1943 in Western State Hospital, Hopkinsville, of general arteriosclerosis at age 74 years, 5 months and 19 days, was a huckster, and is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Paducah.

Robert Ervin Torian and Emily [sic] Isabell Nall were married at her father J. S. Nall's house on 10 October 1888. In 1904 the Paducah city directory shows R. E. Torian, a marketer residing at 206 S. 2nd. In 1908 he was listed as Robt. E. Torian, poultry at 206 S. 2nd. A review of McCracken County deeds from 1890–1943 did not show that Robert Torian owned any property.
In 1900 the census shows him living in Graves County and listed as Robbert [sic] Torian, head, age 31, born October 1868 in Kentucky, married 12 years, day laborer; Milley E., wife, age 30, born June 1869 in Kentucky, 5 children and 5 living; Annie B, age 10, born September 1889; Minnie M., age 8, born August 1891; Jessey E., age 7, born December 1892 [sic]; Eddie A., age 5, born January 1895; and Lillie C., age 3 months, born August 1899.
In 1910 the census shows they were living in McCracken County and listed as Robert E. Torian, age 41, head, age 21 at first marriage; Millie I., age 41, wife, age 21 at first marriage, 8 children, 8 living; Minnie, age 18; Jessie, age 16, son, market boy produce; Eddie, 14,; Cleo, 10; Rosa L. [sic, should be Rosalie], age 8, Deney [sic, should be Dewey], age 6; and Oscar, age 4.
In 1920 they were in Folsomdale, Graves County, and listed as Robert E. Torian, age 52, own home with mortgage, farmer; Emilia, age 51; Dewey, age 16, farm laborer; and Oscar, age 14, invalid.
In 1930 they were in McCracken County, Clarks River, East of Husband Rd. and were listed as Robert E. Torian, head, own, $500, age 61, married, age 20 at first marriage, no occupation; Millie E., wife, age 60, married age 19 first marriage; and Oscar, son, age 24, no occupation.
In 1941–1942, Paducah city directories show Robt. Torian and Millie residing rear west side of Husbands Rd, north of Homewood Ave.
No will was found for Robert Torian in McCracken County. Also no deed records were found in McCracken County for Robert so he apparently wasn't a land owner.

Robert Ervin Torian, 73, life-long resident of McCracken county, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday at his home on Route 3. Mr. Torian sold vegetables for many years at the market house. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Millie Torian; three sons, J.I. Torian, Flint Michigan; Dewey Torian, DeSoto, MO; Eddie Torian, Paducah; four daughters, Mrs. Annie Golightly, Buckeye, Ariz; Mrs. Minnie Ellis, St. Louis; Mrs. Cleo Glenn and Mrs. Rosalee McCreary, both of Paducah; two brothers, Tom and John Torian of Paducah; one sister, Mrs. Kate Harris, McCracken County; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Lindsey funeral home, the Rev. B. B. Murphy officiating. Mr. Torian's nephews were pallbearers. Interment was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
