In her later years she lived with her daughter Minnie in DeSoto, Missouri. Emillie died 18 February 1957 at 605 W. Kelly in DeSoto. She died of bronchopneumonia and infirmities of old age and is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, in McCracken County.

Survivors include 3 sons, Jesse Torian of Paramount, Calif., Eddy [sic] Torian of Paducah and Dewey Torian of DeSoto; 4 daughters, Mrs. Annie Myers of McDade, Texas, Mrs. Minnie Ellis and Mrs. Rosalie McCreary of DeSoto, and Mrs. Cleo Glenn of Tucson, Arizona, a sister, Mrs. Pearl Elliott of Mayfield; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The body is at Lindsey Funeral Home.

Other children include Dewey Torian, and Mrs. E. G. McCreary. Services will be in Paducah, KY. Mothershead Funeral Home is in charge.
