Clara's first husband was Jasper Wilkins. She later married John Wassom. She is buried as a Wilkins.

Wassom--Clara Awilda Wassom of Coburg, passed away at her home September 22, 1964 at the age of 97. She was born December 1, 1866 in Springfield, Oregon. Her husband, John, preceded her in death in 1954.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Grace W. Clark of Coburg; two sons: Mitchell Wilkins of DeFunlack Springs, Florida, Herman S. Wilkins of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sereatha Gustofson of Harrisburg; two stepsons: Johnnie Wassom of Albany and Arch Wassom of Harrisburg; seventeen grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A daughter, Althea Stoneberg, preceded her in death in 1948.

She was a life-long resident of Coburg, member of the First Methodist Church of Coburg and the Rebekah Lodge. Also she was the first PTA President of the Coburg School system. Funeral services will be held at he Poole-Larsen Chapel, Friday, September 25, 1964 at 10 a.m. Reverend Raymond Otto of the Coburg Methodist Church officiating with interment at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
