ZIMRI CLINARD, PIONEER FARMER, DIES--
Zimri Clinard, 79, nearly a life long resident of west Bangor township, died last Thursday evening at his home on Michigan avenue in this village where he had resided since retiring from his farm several years ago. His death followed a long illness. Funeral rites for him were held at the Federated church Sunday afternoon, Rev. A. E. Murphy officiating. The Bangor lodge of Odd Fellows conducted their fraternal rites both at the church and at the grave in the Thomas cemetery in Bangor. Mr. Clinard, the son of Davis and Rebecca Clinard, was born in Randolph county, Indiana, August 10, 1855. His death on January 11, 1934, made his span of life 78 years, 5 months, and 1 day. When a small child he came with his parents to Michigan, the family settling in West Bangor. With the exception of five years he spent the remainder of his life in Van Buren county. In 1875 he was married to Elizabeth Eisenlohr of Bangor. Of three children born to this union two survive. Henry Clinard of Lawrence and Mrs. Bertha Disbrow of Hartford. Another daughter, Mrs. Olive Graves, passed away in 1931. His wife passed away March 12, 1884. Mr. Clinard married again in 1884 to Rose Sherman of Bangor. Seven children were born to his union, six of whom survive. One daughter, Grace, died in 1909. Those surviving with the widow are Elton, Harry and Roy, of Bangor, Mrs. Etta Smith and Earl, of Watervliet, and Mrs. Myrtle Phillips of Hartford. Surviving also are 27 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many other relatives. Mr. Clinard commanded the high esteem of many friends in Bangor and Hartford where he spent the greater part of his life.

HARTFORD, Jan. 12--Zimri Clinard, 79, died at his home here Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock after a three weeks' illness. Mr. Clinard has been in ill health for the past year.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church. The Rev. A. E. Murphy of the Federated church will officiate. Odd Fellows of Bangor, where he has been a member since he was 30 years old, will act as casket bearers. Burial will be in the Thomas cemetery at Bangor.
Zimri Clinard was born August 10, 1855 in Randolph Co., Indiana, where he spent his childhood. Later came to Bangor township as a farmer and was married to Lizzie Eisenlohr about 62 years ago, three children were born to this union, Henry of Lawrence, Mrs. Ollie Graves, who died two years ago, and Mrs. Hayes Disbrow, who lives in the village. He was married to Mrs. Rose Sherman of Bangor in 1884. If he had lived until July 27 they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. To this union seven children were born.
They lived on a farm in Hawley until 10 years ago when they moved to Hartford and purchased their home on Michigan Ave., where he died.
Mr. Clinard was a member of the Hawley Methodist church. Two years of their married life was spent at Stoneport, Ill., and the remainder of the time in Bangor township and Hartford.
The deceased is survived by his widow, Rose; a son Henry, of Lawrence, by the former marriage; and Mrs. Hayes Disbrow of Hartford.
