Was One Of The Oldest Residents of West Bangor -- Here Since '66
Davis Clinard was born in Davidson county N.C. in 1818, and with his wife and four children moved to Indiana in 1851, where he resided until 1866, when he moved to Michigan and settled in West Bangor, where he has since resided. He died at the home of his son Zimri, Saturday, Sept. 19th, 1896, aged 78 years, three months and 19 days. He leaves seven children to mourn his demise, his wife having died five years ago. Mr. Clinard originally had a family of ten children, two dying in his native state, and one in war. His funeral services were held on Monday last.
