He was born on February 3, 1949 in Galloway, the son of Regina (Stroik) Groshek and the late Raymond Groshek.
Mark was united in marriage to Jeanne Innerebner on October 28, 1972 in Wittenberg. She survives.
He presently owned and operated Mark's Bar in Elderon for the past 32 years and was employed at Integrity Fire Protection, Schofield since 1973. Mark enjoyed shooting pool, playing ball, hunting and playing cards. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and always enjoyed life to its fullest.
Survivors include his wife Jeanne; his mother, Regina Groshek, Galloway; his children, Stacey (Jamie) Groshek, Wittenberg, Tara (Jason) Wojnowiak, Hatley, Brandon Groshek and Stephanie Groshek, both at home; four grandchildren, Kalei and Dylan Groshek and Samantha and Alexis Wojnowiak; ten brothers and sisters, LeRoy (Carol) Groshek, Rosholt, Ralph (Betty) Groshek, and Ronald (Helen) Groshek, all of Milwaukee, Joyce (Wallace) Bembenek, Pewaukee, Natalie (Wayne) Staley, Rothschild, Joseph (Sue) Groshek, New Berlin, Dennis (Virginia) Groshek, Rosholt, Fred (Elaine) Groshek, Galloway, George (Barbara) Groshek, Cudahy and Clifford (Bonnie) Groshek, Elderon.
In addition to his father, Mark was preceded in death by one brother, Norbert; one nephew, Matthew; and his father-in-law, Martin Innerebner, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galloway. Deacon David Ashenbrenner will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00PM until 8:30pm at the church and then on Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of services. There will be a Parish Rosary Service at 8:00PM Tuesday evening at the church. Schmidt-Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
The family would like especially thank Mark's sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Wally Bembenek for the wonderful care and opening up their home for him to stay this past year and his brother Fred for his bone marrow donation.
