William W Price was a marble dealer and residing at the village of Elora in Nichol Township, Wellington County, Ontario, at the time of his marriage

He married Elizabeth Mills on December 30, 1873, in Tecumseth Township, Simcoe County, Ontario. The Wesleyan Methodist minister, Reverend Peter Addison, officiated. The marriage was officially registered in King Township, York County, which is just across the township/county line

[Note: There is some division amongst researchers in this line regarding his middle name. Some believe the "W" stands for 'Wilberforce', and others indicate 'Wilbur'. Primary supporting documentation to confirm which it is, is being looked for]

[It is the opinion of the contributor of this memorial, to whom Elizabeth {Mills} Price was a Great-Aunt, that William Wilberforce Price was named for the great English politician William Wilberforce, who took on the entire British Empire to fight the slave trade and, before his death in 1833, achieved his goal: the abolition of slavery. Many parents of that era would have wished to set an example by naming their child for this dynamic individual who demonstrated that passion for social change can transform the world in which we live. In looking at Mr. Wilberforce's example, we can learn how to pick our battles, face the reality that the power of money plays in politics, and learn how to work with others to accomplish great things]
