She was a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University School of Nursing and devoted her entire professional career to the profession of nursing. A resident of Denham Springs, she passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. She was 73. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Friday, Nov. 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham Springs, at 10 a.m. She is survived by her children, Sharon Martin, Sam and wife Darlene Ashley, Judith and husband Sidney R. Gale, Jimmy and wife Lu Ann Ashley, and Jo Anne and husband Sidney Bowers; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and numberous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ashley; granddaughter, Melissa Ashley; parents, William and Myrtle Wood Noble; and seven brothers and sisters.
