Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Fay Noble Ashley; three daughters and two sons-in-law. Sharon Martin, Judy Ashley-Gale and Sidney Gale, and Jo Anne and Sidney Bowers; two sons and daughters-in-law, Samuel and Darlene Ashley and Jimmy and Lu Ann Ashley; two brothers, Rufus Ashley and Edwin Ashley; 14 children, five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a foster granddaughter; two foster great-granddaughters; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephew. Preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Nellie Musson Ashley; and two brothers, Fred and Vernon Ashley.
