IN MEMORIAM
Ethel Minnie Silverthorn was born at Cayuga, ND, on October 13th (sic), 1890, and died at her home in Olds, Canada, December 6th, 1911, age 21 years, 1 month and 24 days.
It was with profound sorrow that friends and relatives of Mrs. Harry Walrod, nee Silverthorn, heard of her death at her home on Olds, Alberta.
Mrs. Walrod was born and grew to womanhood in this place and had a host of friends and many relatives here. She was married on the 9th of June, 1909 to Harry Walrod of Olds, Alberta, where she has since made her home. Of this union two children were born one about eighteen months, and the other two weeks old. After the baby's birth the mother contracted blood poisoning and in spite of all that skill could do she gradually grew weaker until she passed away yesterday morning at 8:30.
Besides a husband and two children she leaves a father and mother, one brother and six sisters to mourn her departure.
Life will never be the same to those who knew her, while those who were nearest to her will long for her with unutterable longing- long for a mothers council and advise, and a wife's gentle and loving sympathy.
She was a woman of strong Christian character and a self sacrificing, and her family and friends have lost a most loving and loyal friend.
The Citizen joins with a host of friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
