He was born April 27, 1921, in Mather, a son of John L. and Hazel Fox. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Army in Germany.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Ella Phifer Fox; four children, Lee, Florence and Dennis Fox, all of Thorofare, and Nancy Fox Haney of Carmichaels; seven grandchildren; four brothers, James Fox of Moundsville, W. Va., John L. Fox Jr. of Carmichales, Ronnie Fox of Garfield Heights, Ohio, and Donald Fox of Lakewood, Ohio; and six sisters, Rosie Phillips, Dorothy Clark, Betty Workman and Matilda Carter, all of Carmichaels, Thelma Fletcher of Gaithersburg, Md., and Phyllis Thomas of Catonsville, Md.
A brother, Allen T. Fox, is deceased.
