He was born October 14, 1885, at Whiteley Twp. to the late Taylor and Salome Guthrie Fox. Mr. Fox resided in Whiteley Twp. the early part of his life and spent the last several in Jefferson. He was a well known farmer and stock raiser and a member of the Kirby Methodist Church.
His widow, Hazel Zimmerman Fox, survives. They were married December 2, 1916.

D. 1; Mrs. Reynold (Thelma) Fletcher of Gaithersburg, Md.; Mrs. Charles (Phyllis) Thomas of Arlington, Va.; Marvy L. (Ella) of Thorofare, N. J.; James A. of Moundsville, W. Va.; Allen T. (Martha) and Ronald R. both of Bedford Heights, Ohio; John L. Jr. of Carmichaels R. D. 1 and Donald P. of Cleveland.
