Mrs. Bertha May Henninger of 413 West Fifteenth Street, Tyrone, died at her late home on Saturday, January 10, 1959, at 9:005 a.m. after an edtended illness.
She was born March 25, 1876, at McAlevys Fort, a daughter of John and Julia (Monger) Anspach. She was married September 21, 1897 at Williamsburg to George C. Henniger.
Surviving are her husband and the following children: Mrs. Violet Flannigan of Tyrone: Freeman Henniger of Sanborn, N.Y. Mrs Agath Armstrong of Buffalo, N.Y.; Walter Henninger of Niagara Falls. N.Y. Joseph Henninger, Altoona and Mrs. Grace Liner of Port Matilda. There are 32 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Julia Allison of Petersburg.
The deceased was a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Tyrone.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday from the Johnson funeral home at Tyrone. The Rev. John Peace, pastor of her church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Steffey Cemetery at McAleveys Fort. There will be a viewing at Steffey's Lutheran Church near McAlevys Fort.
