James Fairchild, 70, Oil Springs, Ky., died suddenly at his home Sunday June 1 1952
Born June 25, 1881 in Johnson County, he was the son of Thomas and Jane Conley Fairchild.
He was a member of the United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Howard Fairchild, three sons, Bennie Fairchild, Waterloo, O.,Frank Fairchild, Oak Hill, O., and Eugene Fairchild, Kenwood, Ky., five daughters, Mrs. June Blair, Cleveland,Ohio, May Lemaster, Thelma Curtis, Margie Fairchild, and Malta Blair,all of Oil Springs, Ky., and the following brothers and sisters, Henry Fairchild, Oil Springs, Ky., Mrs. Alice Colvin, Mine Fork, Ky., Mrs.Beck Blanton, Win, Ky., Mrs. Mary McCarty, Salyersville, Ky., Mrs.Sarah Blanton, city, Mrs. Ellen Blanton, Oil Springs, and Mrs. Darcus Blanton, Kenwood, Ky. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday (June 4, 1952) at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Lonza Reed officiating.
Burial was in the family cemetery under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
