Mrs. Lucy Trescott, wife of Chauncey Trescott, died on July 18, 1886, at Nirvana, Lake Co., and was buried at Woodland Cemetery, Evart township, Jan. 20th. Her death was a sad loss to all with whom she was acquainted, and especially her husband, parents and sisters. She was a loving woman and trusting wife. Their loss--her death--will be her eternal gain. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Judah Custer of Evart township.

Lucy Custer was born 27 August 1858 at Warren, Trumbull Co., OH. She came to Evart Twp. fall of 1878. Lucy was single on the 10 June 1884 MI State Census. She d. 18 Jan 1886. This was her first child.
NOTE: There is no Woodland Cemetery in Evart Twp, nor is this cemetery in Evart Twp. It is in Osceola Twp. Woodland was a wooded spot at the top of the hill in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Osceola Twp. Her grave is between her two sisters, Ella and Etta.
