Custer, Charles J. 75 years

Charles J. Custer, 75, a former Evart resident, died at the Hurley Hospital at Flint, on September 17. Mr. Custer had been in poor health. He was born in Champion, Ohio, on August 30, 1873, to Mr. and Mrs. Judah Custer, and came to Evart as a small child, moving from here to Flint 40 years ago, where he has since made his home. Mr. Custer's wife, Mable, and an adopted son, Lovell, preceded him in death. On July 7, 1948, he was married to Lavina Fritch of Flint, who with two sisters, Mrs. Mary Riddell of Winnepeg, Manitoba, and Miss Addie Custer of Evart and several nieces and nephews survive him. Funeral services were held at the Dodd Dimonoma Funeral Home in Flint with the Rev. Graham of the Baptist Church of which Mr. Custer was a member, officiating. Burial was made in the Forest Hill Cemetery at Evart.
