Dorothy M. Smith, 77, of Akron, passed away March 16, 1997, at Little Forest Nursing Home.
She was born August 21, 1919, in Akron, the daughter of Henry and Mahala Lockhardt sic.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Smith; son, Gary H. Smith of Akron; sisters, Doris Lockhardt sic of West Salem, Kathryn Herman of Akron, Opal Vanick of New Mexico, Susan Varrechia of Clinton; several grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Farley Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Friends may call one hour prior to services. (FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 784-3334)
