Roscoe Lindsey Lockhart was born on June 1, 1922, to Henry Louis Lockhart and Mahala M. Milstead in Akron, Ohio where he grew up. He joined the army October 15, 1940 when he was 18y/o. He married Laura Lee Corley on March 9, 1942 in Akron, Ohio. Lindsey as he was called by family and friends lost his life after being wounded in WWII on February 22, 1945

He was survived by his parents Henry & Mahala Lockhart, Brothers Louis Willard, Henry Kenneth, Clearance David. Sisters Bessie F., Alice L., Opal M. Dorothy M., Doris, Susan M., Kathryn, and JoAnne Lockhart. He was preceeded in death by his sister Ruth (Ruthie) Lockhart

He is laid to rest in Glendale Cemetery in Akron, OH.
