Roy O. Barnard, 63, a well known carpenter who lived on the scenic highway between Hamilton and Nauvoo died suddenly at 9:05 P.M. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital Keokuk.
He was born Oct. 6, 1900 at Ferris, the son of Frank and Edith Fulton Barnard.
On July 3, 1922, at Macomb, he married Miss Loretta Argast, who survives. He is also survived by seven sisters, Mrs. Jessie Nichols of Carthage, Mrs. Elsa McCollom of Ferris, Mrs. Mona Lehman of Rockford, Mrs. Hazel Boyer of Adrian, Mrs. Myrtle Kelly of Rock Island, Mrs. Maude Belville of Bently and Mrs. Wilma Smith of Warsaw and a number of nieces and nephews. A sister Gladys Barnard preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday afternoon) at 2:30 P.M. in the Lamporte Funeral Home at Hamilton with the Rev. H.P. French officiating. Burial will be in the Thornberg cemetery at Powellton
