Mrs. Alfred Voland, 87, of the Town of Schlelswig, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Hilma Prahl, Rt. 1, Kiel, Tuesday morning after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the St. Peter Evangelical and Reformed Church, Kiel, the Rev. Vernon Jaberg officiating. Burial will be in the Rockville Cemetery.
She was born Mary Pickruhn in the Town of Schleswig July 2, 1869, daughter of the late Carl and Ana Nadler Pickruhn. She received her education in the district school at Rockville. On March 14, 1891, she was married to Alfred Voland of Schleswig and the couple made its home on a farm east of Kiel. In 1914 they moved to a farm near Louis Corners.
The couple celebrated its golden wedding in 1941. Her husband preceded her in death during September of 1947. She was a charter member of the Louis Corners Ladies Aid.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walter Conrad of the Town of Russell, Mrs. Hilma Prahl of Louis Corners and Mrs. Harry Klemme of Kiel; a son, Elmer of Schleswig; a brother, Theodore of Elkhart Lake; 10 grand-children and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
