Mrs Sarah Lucy, aged 83, died at her home four miles north of Calico Rock, last Saturday, July 8th, after a lingering illness of several weeks.
She was born March 31, 1850, the greater part of her life having been spent in this section. She became a member of the Christian church early in life and remained a staunch Christian until the end. She was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Deceased is survived by her husband, B. F. Lucy, aged 89; four sons, Arlie, Martin, Robert and Walter; four daughters Mrs John Marchant, Mrs Frank Thomas, Mrs John Herron and Mrs J. H. Morrow.
Burial took place in the Staggs cemetery Sunday afternoon at 4:oo o'clock.
