Mrs Sallie L. Thomas, aged 72 years, died at her home two miles west of Calico Rock, last Monday night. She had been in failing health for several months.

Funeral services were held at the Pleasant Valley community building, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev W. T. Watson and Rev Aubra O. Hays. Burial was in the Staggs Cemetery, the Roller Funeral Home being in charge.

Mrs Thomas spent the greater part of her life in this vicinity, and leaves a host of friends. In 1915 she was married to H. F. Thomas, who survives. Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Dorthel Coggins of Yellville, Ark., a daughter, Mrs Artie Light of Calico Rock; two sisters, Mrs Ella Morrow of California, Mrs Millie Hearn of Calico Rock; five brothers, Arlie L. and Mart L. Lucy of Calico Rock, Robert L. Lucy of McCrory, Ark., Walter L. Lucy of Crystal Springs, Ark., and William L. Lucy of California. Sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
