T. E. Dickinson, 68, widely and favorably known citizen of the Oak Grove vicinity, succumbed tonight at 10:30 o'clock at his home about two miles east of here, on the Oak Grove-Lake Providence highway. He had been ill, of high blood pressure and other ailments, over an extended period, having suffered from his last attack since November. His condition became critical late Wednesday.

Funeral services were not completed tonight, but it was stated that burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery. The rites, with the Rev. W. D. Drummond, Nazarene minister of Bastrop, officiating, will probably be conducted Friday afternoon.

Mr. Dickinson is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. C. A. Butler of the Oak Grove community; four sons, D. L. Dickinson of Pioneer, Lester Dickinson of Little Rock, Ark., Carroll Dickinson of Odessa, Texas, and Arthur Dickinson of Swartz; three sisters, Mrs. W. E. Waters of the Oak Grove community, Mrs. J. E. Waters of Dodson and Mrs. Waller, Forest; and other relatives.

Another daughter, the late Mrs. Percy Campbell, died last year, and a brother, the late Turner Dickinson, a number of years ago.

Mr. Dickinson, who was engaged in farming, moved to West Carroll from Dodson, Winn parish, in 1901.

He was an ardent church worker, having been a member of the Nazarene denomination since its organization in 1909.
