ANGE', Elizabeth Mary
On Wednesday, March 3, 2010 we lost our beloved mother and grandmother. Elizabeth Mary Ange' was born Oct. 24, 1919 in New York City. She graduated as class valedictorian in 1938 from St. Patrick's Cathedral high school and then attended Hunter College. She worked at Macy's (Herald Square) in the book dept. until 1945 when she married Gerard Ange', a free French Navy veteran. They resided in Berkshire County, Mass. and NYC until 1959 when she relocated to San Mateo, Ca and later to Palo Alto. She retired from the city of San Mateo Main Library in 1982 after 20 years of employment and moved to Granite Bay in 1988. She is predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Elizabeth McGill and brothers, James, Arthur, and John. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Carr, brother, Frank McGill, daughter Elizabeth Hoyer (Bob) all of Granite Bay, son, Gerard Ange' of Palo Alto, granddaughter Alison Hoyer of Roseville, grandson Rob Hoyer of San Francisco, niece, Kathie Fowler (Shaun) of New York City and nephew, Tom Carr of San Francisco. A memorial service is to be held on Friday March 12, 2010 at 11 am at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd. Roseville, Ca 95678. Inturnment to be held at Alta Mesa Park, Palo Alto.
