Fairmount (CNS) - Wilfred Hickman, 67, a life resident and prominent banker of the Fairmount community, died at 6:30 p.m. yesterday (May 27, 1964) at Lake View Memorial. He had been a patient there 10 days. Born Nov. 10,1896, he was the son of George W. and Sadie Hopper Hickman. He was married Oct. 5,1922, to Cena Gilkison, who survives. Mr. Hickman had formerly been cashier at the Porterfield State Bank in Ridgefarm and Sidell. Presently, he was cashier of the First National Bank of Fairmount where he had been employed since 1946. He was serving as treasurer of the Fairmount Grade School District, Jamaica Grade School District and the Village of Fairmount. He was a past master and treasurer of the Masonic Lodge 590. He also was a member of the Danville Scottish Rite and Danville Camera Club. Photography had been his hobby for several years. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. John (Janet) Figueras of Rochester, N.Y., Mrs. Lowell (Wilma) Kupfer of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Hinners of Franklin, Wis.; two brothers, Vernon of Fairmount and Wayne of Joliet; and nine grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a brother. The body is at the Carrington Funeral Home. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
