Mrs. Charlotte T. Appleby, 64 years old wife of Frank R. Appleby, 120 North Maplewood ave., died at 3:330 o'clock yesterday in afternoon at her home. She had resided most of her life in Brimfield, Ill., coming to Peoria three years ago.
She was born in Brimfield, Ill., November 14, 1876, a daughter of Hugh and Katherine Grant Carroll. Mrs. Appleby was a member of St. mark's church, of the Alter and Rosary society of the parish, and of the Royal Neighbors of America. She married Mr. Appleby, October 2, 1902, at Brimfield.
Mrs. Appleby leaves her husband, one son, Carroll F. Appleby, two daughters, Miss Margaret Appleby, of Peoria; Mrs. E. F. Lottman, Chicago; one granddaughter, Mary Charlotte Appleby, Peoria; four sisters; Mrs. Cecilia Kelly, Brimfield, Ill., Mrs. Henry Braun, Fairfield Iowa; Mrs. Katherine Hiermeir and Mrs. C. J. Morrissey, both of Peoria; and three brothers, Fred Carroll, Camp Grove Ill., William Carroll, Bradford and Joseph Carroll, Brimfield. A brother Frank Carroll, died some time ago. Mrs. Appleby is also survived by several Nieces and nephews.
