Jessie Wilson was born November 23, 1918 and departed this life Sunday, March 30, 2014 reaching the age of 95 years. She was the daughter of the late Burl Roberts and Helen (Miller) Roberts.
She married Woodrow Wilson and to this union six children were born.
She is survived by: 6 children, Irene Turner, Pauline McCartney, Jack Wilson, Mary Bell, Gloria Watson, and David Wilson; one sister, Norma Jones; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Burl and Helen Roberts, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Woodrow Wilson; one brother, Herstell Roberts; six sisters; Elsie Kidd, Mary Holden, Dorothy Dobbs, Juanita Caldwell, Carol Tolby, and Shirley Stacy; and one great grandchild.
She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery
