Mrs. Nettie McCallum of Topinabee was born October 4, 1860. She died October 27, 1932. She was 72 years and 23 days old. She was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps. Her husband was a civil war Veteran and preceded her in death in 1913. She was born in Barry County, Michigan. Her mother's name was Amelia Crump and father's name was Henry Crump. She lived in Cheboygan, Michigan until a year ago when she made her home here in Topinabee. The cause of her death was heart trouble and complications of diseases. She leaves to mourn their loss two sons Clement Conners and Guy Connors of Crump Settlement; one sister, Mrs. Claudia Butler of Burt Township; three brothers, John and William of Petoskey, and Grant of Crump Settlement and also ten grandchildren. She was buried on October 30, 1932 in Cross Settlement Cemetery. Funeral services were held at the church with Rev, J.W. Lees officiating.
