Mary Lillie Mattingly, 86, of Bishop Soenneker Home, Knottsville, died Sunday, July 18, 1993, at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Daviess County and was a member of St William Catholic Church in Knottsville. Her husband, Marion L. Mattingly, died in 1988. Two sons and a daughter preceded her in death, Robert Mattingly in 1966; J.L. Mattingly in 1965; and Clara Aull in 1987. Survivors include three sons, Charles Vincent, John & Richard E. Mattingly, all of Knottsville; two daughters, Doris Fulkerson of Knottsville and Sister Margaret Mary CP of Owensboro; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lettie Mae Payne of Knottsville. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St William Catholic Church. Burial in St William Cemetery. Visitation from 1-8 p.m. today and from 8-10 a.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home, Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Passionist Nuns, 1420 Benita Ave., Owensboro, KY 42303.
