Beloved wife and mother, she was born Sept.13, 1925, in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Earl and Dorothy Henshaw Batman.
Her husband of 50 years, Harry K. Haney and son, John L. Haney, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Richard A. Batman of Shenandoah; a daughter, Teresa Haney Reed and son-in-law,Robin John Reed of Roanoke; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Rudolph Haney of Shenandoah; three very loved grandsons, John L. Haney II of Shenandoah, Patrick M. Reed and Daniel M. Reed of Roanoke; a stepgranddaughter, Katrina Rudolph of Shenandoah.
Also surviving are sisters, Edith Ageon of Harrisonburg, Betty Gray of Luray; brother, Earl Batman Jr. (Jack) of Shenandoah; and many loved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Haney is also survived by a beloved sister-in-law, Vi Strauss of Harrisonburg and very close friends, Joyce McAndrews and Lecia Merica, both of Shenandoah.
