Karen Silcox Hilborn 1941 ~ 2010 Karen Silcox Hilborn, 68, our loving mom, grandma, great grandma, and sister, passed away February 26, 2010. She was born April 3, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald N. and Ruth Jeanette Evans Silcox. Karen married Thomas Wayne Hilborn who preceded her in death on November 3, 1998. Karen graduated from Jordan High School. She loved to bake and catered many weddings, and enjoyed working at the Lion House in Salt Lake for many years. Survivors: children, Kathy, Carol, Wayne, Bryan, Darla (Juan), Lisa (Daniel); 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Vaughn (Linda) Silcox, Kevin Silcox, Sheila (Duane) Brown, Nyla Walton. Preceded in death by her husband; children, Craig Martin and Janette Dorene; parents; siblings, brother, Vern; sister, Cheryl Burns. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State Street, Midvale, where a viewing will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
